Memorial Day Fun

We spent Memorial Day at the Arboretum. We had a great time although it was pretty hot. Thank you to all the men and women that serve or have served in our military and to their families. We are forever grateful!

Visiting the Zoo

We visited the Dallas Zoo last week with some friends. The weather was beautiful and we all had a great time.
Eli talks about "Jenny" every day : )
Fun in the water at the Children's Zoo
After playing in the water, we didn't have dry clothes for everyone so we shared what we had and made it work. : )

Play Time!

We have been spending a lot of time outside (when it's not raining!).

Eli always wants to ride his scooter to the park, but we don't make it very far before he wants to switch to his tricycle.
Chase enjoys the park too.

Trip to Arkansas

Chase took his first trip to Arkansas last weekend to meet his Mimi (Hunter's Mom). This was Chase's first airplane ride and he did very well. We had a wonderful time!

Eli and Madison had so much fun playing together!

Slip N Slide

Eli has been enjoying the warm weather and his new slip n slide.

8 Months!!

I can't believe that Chase is already 8 months old!! This first year is going so fast. I wish I could slow it down somehow! : ) Chase loves playing with toys on the floor and playing with Eli. He is learning how to crawl, but it probably be another month before he is really crawling. He likes to eat and has tried applesauce, bananas, pears and sweet potatoes. He "talks" all the time and says "da-da" and "e-i". We aren't really sure if he is trying to say Eli, but it sounds like he is and he says it all the time. We are so thankful for his progress...he is a true miracle. Love you, Baby Chase! : )

Chase's Appointment

Chase had a cardiology appointment today that included a sedated echo. I am pleased to report that Chase's heart looks "fantastic". Chase's cardiologist was very pleased with Chase and his progress. He is now off all but one of his meds and she doesn't need to see him for 6 months!

We are so very thankful for Chase's amazing progress! We are also thankful for the wonderful caregivers that God gave Chase. His cardiologist, Dr. Eapen, is absolutely amazing. I know that God hand-picked her for Chase and for that we are so very thankful!!

A Few Firsts....And A Dr Appointment

Chase and Eli have been keeping me very busy lately so I have not had much time to blog. Chase did have a few "firsts" this past week that are worth blogging. : )
  • Chase visited Babe's Chicken for the first time this past Thursday. He just enjoyed the atmosphere while we enjoyed the yummy food! ; )
  • Chase made his first trip to Canton on Friday. I LOVE going to Canton, but unfortunately Chase didn't love it....too hot and humid!
  • Chase FINALLY ate some food. I've been trying, but he has not been interested. On Saturday night, I decided to give him some applesauce. He liked it. Yeah, Applesauce! : )

Enjoying applesauce

Today, May 4, is Ga-Ga's birthday. Eli and I made him a cake this afternoon....we wrote on it and then Eli covered it in sprinkles. Hope Ga-Ga likes sprinkles!

On another note, Chase has an appointment with his cardiologist tomorrow morning at Children's. He will be having a sedated echo. We are praying that all is well...we'll provide an update tomorrow!
