Our New Home

We are in the process of building a new home. It has been really fun to watch our house being built. Since we are building a couple of miles from our current home, we can watch the process fairly closely and easily. The brick and stone are almost complete. The sheet rock is up and the cabinets and floors will be going in next week. : )

Family Room and Kitchen
View from the front door - Dining Room on Right....Family Room & Kitchen straight ahead.

I love the back porch....not a great picture though.

Pneumonia.....AGAIN!

Chase was in the hospital again with pneumonia. This is his third case of pneumonia since February so the doctors are trying to determine if there is some underlying issue causing the pneumonia. They are most concerned with aspiration, so we will be doing a video swallow study in a couple of weeks to see if Chase is aspirating when he drinks milk and water. Chase's cardiologist is fairly certain that the pneumonia is not connected in any way to his heart function. We are very thankful that Chase was only in the hospital for a couple of days and doing much better now!

Eli LOVES visiting the hospital because they have a refridgerator stocked with chocolate milk....Eli's FAVORITE!!! : )
Raiding the kitchen....Chocolate milk for Eli....Plain milk for Chase

My Little Monkeys.....

Fun with Daddy

Trip to the Zoo

Eli and Chase received a zoo membership for Christmas, so we have been able to enjoy the zoo several times this year. We recently went to see the new exhibit, Giants of the Savanna. Unfortunately, the exhibit opened the day AFTER our visit so we didn't get to see it that day. Also, since the exhibit was opening the next day, most of the animals had been moved so we didn't get to see several of the animals. We went back to the zoo the following week to see the Giants of the Savanna and it was AMAZING!!! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera! : ) I highly recommend going to see the exhibit.....but maybe in the Fall when it cools down again! : )

Chase loved the animal statues and hugged them all!
Eli loves the crocs!! One crawled out of the water while we were watching.

The camels.....or as Eli says "canimals" : )

And of course...the water at the Children's Zoo!

Watermelon!!!

We LOVE this time of year......especially the yummy watermelon! : )
