A Big Day!

Yesterday was a big day - Eli started standing on his own AND his second tooth started coming in!! He actually took a couple of steps, but I don't think he did it on purpose. He was just trying to keep his balance. Notice his entire fist his his mouth - He's been doing this to soothe his pain from teething. The entire fist is probably a little much....he has gagged himself to the point of throwing up twice now! Ahh...the joys of teething! : )

Just Playing

A New Bed!

We bought new bedroom furniture and a new king size mattress. Eli was so excited when it was delivered. He crawled around all over the new bed as if to say - Mom, look at our new bed! Thursday was our first night on our new bed and it was wonderful - tons of room for everyone! : )

Daddy's Shoulders!

Eli loves to ride on Hunter's shoulders!! He smiles, laughs and hits Hunter on the head as they walk around the house.

Working on the Nursery

I'm still working on Eli's nursery. Maybe he'll actully sleep in it when I finish it. I doubt it! : )

Sharing???

Eli and Hunter were "sharing" a glass of water. The result when both want a drink at the same time!

Bath Time!

Eli has been taking a bath in a "big boy bathtub", but he recently wanted to take a bath in the kitchen sink again.

Sunday Football

This is Eli and Hunter's version of watching a little football. Watching usually turns into a 2-3 hour nap! : )

Saturday Visit

Pa-Pa (Eli's Great-Grandpa) came to visit on Saturday. We enjoyed the visit and a couple of scrabble games. Eli tried on Pa-Pa's new hat....what do you think??

A New Toy!

Granny gave this to Eli when we returned from Alaska. He's not quite big enough, but he loves being pushed around on it!

Visiting Family

The day after Christmas, Eli and I went to Fairbanks, Alaska, to visit my sister, Lisa and her family (John (husband), Justin, John-John, Jessica, and Jack). After a long flight which included delays and one plane turning around after being in the air for an hour, we finally made it! We had a wonderful time. We got to see Eli's newest cousin Jack for the first time. He was born on December 11 and is growing like a weed! He's already outgrowing his 3 month clothes! We also got to see John-John play hockey several times. He has been playing hockey for several years and is really good. It is amazing to see him skate...he's great! Jessica turned 3 on December 5 and Eli really enjoyed playing with her. She was very sweet to him and loved to help give Eli a bath. Justin is 17 (I can't believe that!) and he is doing the typical teenager things....watching movies, playing PSP, watching ESPN and following the Cowboys, Mavericks, and Stars. It's always fun to be around Justin - you'll never have to wonder about a score on any game! :) While we were in Alaska, we got to experience a few "cold" days. I thought it was already cold because it was between 0 and -20, but on the "cold" days, it was between -30 and -45!!! I thought there was not much difference in -20 and -40, but I was WRONG!!! It was crazy cold!!!

We miss our family in Alaska, but are glad to be home with Hunter....after 2weeks away, Hunter almost didn't recognize Eli!

Below are some pictures from our trip.

Christmas!

Eli enjoyed his first Christmas! When he woke up, he went in the living room to see what Santa left him and he crawled right to his new toys. He loved them all and was really excited to have new toys. Santa didn't bring one thing he wanted...an Elmo TMX. Santa said that so many kids wanted one that there just wasn't enough to go around. Hunter and I explained this to Eli and he understood. : ) THEN, Granny and Ga-Ga bring presents which included an Elmo TMX. From now on, Granny and Ga-Ga will be way cooler than Santa! : ) We hope everyone had a blessed Christmas!
