Tax-Free Weekend

Eli and I were in Alaska during tax-free weekend in Texas, so I told Hunter to be sure and go to the store and buy a bunch of diapers since they are included in the tax-free stuff. Well, Hunter bought a bunch of diapers! We shouldn't have to buy diapers for a VERY long time!

Flower Gardens

The University of Alaska has a beautiful flower garden. We enjoyed walking/running through the gardens and Eli loved smelling the flowers!

Yoga Baby

Eli thinks it is so funny to watch me do yoga....here he is joining in on the fun! Now, every time I say "do your yoga", Eli takes this position! ; )

Ice Cream

Our favorite place to eat ice cream in Alaska is Hot Licks! Hot Licks has the yummiest homemade ice cream.

Baby Jack, Jessie and John-John
Eli LOVES ice cream. I shared with him the first time we went...the second time we went we each got our own ice cream!

Petting Zoo

At the Alaska Fair, Jessie and Eli really enjoyed the petting zoo. We spent about a hour with the goats! Eli kept saying "Goat! Goat!" even after we got home!

Eli hugging the goat : )

Alaska Blueberries

Alaska has wonderful wild blueberries. One day we went to the top of Murphy Dome and picked blueberries. Eli had fun finding them and throwing them in the bucket.

Jessie ate about as many as she put in the bucket! : ) We also picked some cranberries, but they were not as sweet as the blueberries.

Train Ride

At Alaskaland, we went on a short train ride. Eli and Cousin Jessie were screaming "choo-choo" for the majority of the ride. They had a great time on the train!!

We're Back!

Eli and I are back from our trip to Alaska and we have lots of pictures to share. One of the great things about Alaska in the summer is all of the beautiful flowers.

Our first day, we enjoyed Alaskaland - a huge park. Eli had a HUGE fall and scratched his entire face. This picture is before the fall.......
....and this is after the fall.

A few before we head out...

Eli was helping us mop....at 10pm last night! That's what happens when he has a nap at 6:45pm and then has a couple of drinks of my tea at supper. : ) He went to sleep soon after this!

Eli and I are headed to Alaska this evening so today I've been trying to keep him awake so he will sleep on the plane. I was taking his picture in the car on the way home from playgroup today to try to get him to stay awake. P.S. He's sound asleep right now and we leave for the airport in 45 minutes! Oh Well!

We will be away from the blogging community for a couple of weeks. We'll be back in a couple of weeks with tons of pictures! Here are the temps for Fairbanks, Alaska for the rest of the week.......we picked a GREAT time to leave the heat of Texas!! : )
