From Pumpkin to Jack-O-Lantern

Last night we carved a pumpkin. Eli had lots of fun and loved blowing out the candle inside the jack-o-lantern!

Another Weekend.....

....another trip to the Pumpkin Patch! This weekend we went to the Owen's Farm Pumpkin Patch in Richardson. Once again, Eli had tons of fun feeding the animals, going on the hay ride and running through the pumpkins.

The pigs were busy eating so Eli just poured the food on their heads.

There was a sign that said not to feed the horses, but obviously they were hungry! This one tried to eat Hunter's arm!!

Fall Festival

Friday evening, we went to the Fall Festival at church. Eli had a great time playing games and seeing the other children dressed up in costumes. Unfortunately, I didn't get many good pictures of him playing games.


Eli with chocolate all over his mouth.....this evening was not one that was packed with nutritious snacks....unless Twix, Almond Joy (without the almonds), and 3 Musketeer are considered nutritious! ; )

Visiting Daddy's Work

On Tuesday, we got dressed up and went to Daddy's office. Daddy wasn't there (he was at a client's office in Irving), but we said hi to everyone and then went to lunch with some of Mommy's former co-workers and friends. (Mommy used to work where Daddy works now.) I had so much fun seeing everyone and even shook several hands.


After lunch with Mommy and a bunch of ladies....you can imagine all the talking....I was so tired that I slept for 2 1/2 hours....that's a marathon nap for me...one hour is usally my max! : )

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, we went to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm. We had tons of fun!

......this year, most of our pictures were like this....Eli walking away from the camera. He wasn't really interested in getting a cute pumpkin picture.
The barrel ride took a while to start....Eli was a little board until it started.

Cooler Weather

Now that the cooler weather is here (hopefully to stay!), Eli has been wearing warmer clothes when we go for our run in the mornings....he even wears his pumpkin hat! I bought him the pumpkin hat last year and never imagined that he would be willing to wear it this year. I'm so glad though.....I love it on him!!




After our run, I give him a bowl of Cheerios to eat while I finish exercising. He likes to sit on the couch, watch me exercise and eat Cheerios. Recently, we saw a dog drinking water from a bowl. Since then, Eli often tries to eat like the dog....in between bites he says "Ruff, Ruff!"

1st Haircut!

Eli's hair started getting long in the back and on the sides so I decided to give him a haircut. After his bath, I gave him a sucker and turned on his favorite show, Signing Time, and he sat still and let me cut his hair.

The State Fair of Texas

After church today, we headed to the State Fair.

Eli had his first Fletcher's Corny Dog....actually, Eli and I were sharing it until he insisted on holding it. I gave it to him and a couple of minutes later, it was gone! Hunter and I were searching the stroller to see where he dropped it, but apparently he ate it and wanted more! So....since Eli wanted another one :) we got another one and shared it!!!
We also enjoyed some free ice cream!
Eli loves animals! He was so excited to pet and feed the animals.

We also checked out all the new cars and had fun daydreaming about our next car....you know, the one that we may buy in about 5 years! : )
We also found Granny's quilt....once we showed Eli that Granny had a quilt in the Fair, he pointed to everything and said "Nanny!?"
The arts & crafts didn't impress Eli like the animals or cars! But, he was a trooper and let me look at everything!

One last picture....we decided to take a picture of Hunter and Eli in a Hummer. We took one last year and wanted to compare. It's amazing how much Eli has grown up in the past year!

Washing Machine

Eli enjoys watching the washing machine fill with water. He thinks it's so funny when it is full and it starts turning and washing the clothes. He likes to imitate the washing machine....watch the video below......

Cleaning the Floor

Eli enjoys helping me clean the floor. I would say that he imitates me, but he enjoys it WAY more than I do! : )

Brushing Daddy's Teeth
