Waiting

Well, today Chase was supposed to move out of the ICU; however, there are no rooms available on the cardiology floor. So, we are waiting for a room. There should be one available tomorrow. We are very anxious to get him out of the ICU....it's just one more step towards coming home. Chase's surgeon said that a lot of Chase's time on the cardio floor will be teaching us how to care for Chase....place a feeding tube, administer medications, etc. I'm ready to learn!! : )

Tomorrow Chase's chest tube will be removed. It has not drained in about 48 hours so they are confident that it can be removed now. All of Chase's IVs have been removed now as well. We are so happy with his progress and are looking forward to even more progress.
