Etmo Every Morning

I just love, love the way Eli says certain words. I was talking about this with a friend who has older children and she said that the cute pronunciation of words goes away so quickly. So, in an effort to capture my favorites, I decided to get videos of Eli saying some of the words. One of my favorites is "etmo" aka oatmeal. Eli asks for etmo EVERY morning....in fact, it's usually the first thing he says in the morning.

This video makes me laugh! I'm trying to get him to say etmo, but instead he first says another of my favorite words....jammies.

Psalm 139:13-16

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was
made in the secret place.

When I was woven together in the depth of the earth,
your eyes say my unformed body.

All the days ordained for me were written
in your book before one of them came to be.

We are excited to share that God has blessed us with our second baby. Eli will be a big brother this September! We are so excited!!!

The Business of Being Born

I just wanted to share some information regarding the new documentary - The Business of Being Born. I haven't seen it yet, but have spoken to many that have and it is highly recommended for anyone who wants to be an informed consumer when giving birth. The trailer is very intruiging! There was a screening last Saturday at Providence Church in Frisco and there will be two more local screenings on Feb. 23 at Peppermint Baby Botique in Richardson....here is info from their website. Hope to see you there!!!!!

Get a Sneak Preview of "The Business of Being Born"

We are so pleased that our new Peppermint retail store was chosen to host a special sneak preview of Ricki Lake's new movie, "The Business of Being Born."

Ricki Lake and filmmaker Abby Epstein examine birth culture in America, and ask questions about the way American women have babies.

Footage of women having babies punctuates THE BUSINESS OF BEING BORN. Each experience is unique; all are equally beautiful and equally surprising.

Along the way, Epstein conducts interviews with a number of obstetricians, experts and advocates about the history, culture and economics of childbirth. The film's fundamental question: should most births be viewed as a natural life process, or should every delivery be treated as a potential medical emergency? Epstein uncovers some surprising answers.

Special Screening Event Details:
Saturday, February 23
Screening times: 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Cost: $5 or FREE with a baby goods donation

Fun Time with Jackson

Jackson and Eli played together today....here they are eating lunch and being silly!

Clifford!

Clifford was at Barnes & Noble last Friday night to read bedtime stories. Everyone (the kids) wore their PJs and enjoyed stories, milk, and cookies.

Eli always enjoys the cookies
And...we can't leave B&N without playing with the train table!

Crazy Weather

We are WAY behind on our blogging, but here are a couple of pictures from a hailstorm at our house last week. What crazy weather we've had lately. I just put Eli down for a nap and it started hailing. It was SO loud and I really thought our windows were breaking. Anyway, Eli slept through the entire storm.

Brushing Teeth

Eli has started to enjoy brushing his teeth...especially since I let him "spit" in the bathtub. : )

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

This post is late, but.....on February 1, we celebrated Hunter's birthday. We ate yummy pizza at Campisi's and then came home for cake and ice cream. Hunter's birthday begins our month long celebration of birthdays....we have a birthday party every weekend in February. Eli is very excited because he LOVES cake! He has such a sweet tooth! : ) So does his Mommy!

Teeth, Mama!

No pic for this post...

This afternoon, Eli looked like he had something in his mouth. I said, "Eli, what's in your mouth?" He looked at me, opened his mouth and said, "teeth".
